Princess Eugenie, who is tenth in line to the throne, shared a previously unreleased picture from her royal wedding last year with Andrew, who looked ever the proud dad. The Queen’s granddaughter thanked her father “for this special moment” and also let slip her nickname for Andrew. The Instagram post read: “Happy Father’s Day to all fathers and of course to my Pups.
“Thank you for many years of happiness and for this special moment on 12th October 2018.”
Last year it emerged Eugenie calls her mother Sarah Ferguson “mumsie”.
The Duchess of York signed off a letter congratulating her youngest daughter on her engagement to Jack Brooksbank with “Mumsie and Sarahs”, Hello! magazine previously reported.
Princess Eugenie’s parents are not the only royals to have adorable nicknames.
The Queen was affectionately referred to as “Lilibet” by her father and this name has also be adopted by her husband Prince Philip.
The nickname comes from Her Majesty’s own pronunciation of her name as a child and it appears to stuck, well at least behind closed doors at the Palace.
Prince William and Prince Harry are know to refer to her a “Granny”.
Meanwhile, Daily Mail’s Robert Hardman revealed the royal children, including Prince George call Prince Charles “Grandpa Wales”, which is fitting as Prince of Wales is his official title.
Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge has been known to call Prince William “babe”.
Prince Harry has also revealed Princess Diana used to call William “Wombat”, following their visit to Australia when he was a boy.
And close friends are said to call the British Prince “Wills”.
Prince William reportedly calls Kate “poppet”.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have also been overheard referring to each other as “darling”
