PlayStation Plus subscribers be warned: you only have one day left to grab the final batch of free PS3 and Vita games.
Sony is scrapping PS3 and Vita games for good, just days after the release of the new PS Plus freebies for PS4.
March was the first month not to feature new PS3 and Vita games.
And after March 8, PlayStation Plus subscribers will no longer be able to download the leftover PS3 and Vita games from February.
This includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Divekick for PS3. That’s on top of Rogue Aces and Gunhouse for the PlayStation Vita.
Once they’re gone, PS Plus subscribers will be left with Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness for PS4.
With a Metascore of 94%, Metal Gear Solid 4 is undoubtedly the pick of the bunch.
“Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is set in a battle-scarred future where huge conglomerates fight for supremacy using armies of hand-picked mercenaries,” reads the official description.
“This devastated world is seen through the battle-weary eyes of an older Solid Snake who has been charged with infiltrating a number of key locations across the globe, including the Middle East, South America and Eastern Europe.
“As such, the epic end to Snake’s story offers ground-breaking combat elements, a refined control system that offers unprecedented control over the aged hero, and the tying up of key plot lines and loose ends.”
Rogue Aces doesn’t fare quite so well, earning a Metascore of 72%.
It’s described as an “endlessly emergent air combat rogue-like” with zero loading screens.
Then there’s Divekick, which is the world’s first ever two-button brawler. As a special bonus, it even includes a couple of guest characters, such as the Fencer from Nidhogg and Johnny Gat from Saints Row.
Thanks to cross-platform compatibility, both Divekick and Rogue Aces can be played on the PS4.
With a colourful art style and chaotic action, PlayStation Vita release Gunhouse is the final free game from last month.
