This week, gamers can grab a free PS4 game to keep in their libraries forever, with plenty of time left to download it from the PSN.
Sony likes to keep the PlayStation Store up to date with the latest free demos and trials, with June proving no different.
Free content continues to be released on PS4 this week, with some eye-catching third-party options available today.
This week, gamers can download and play DC’s Injustice: Gods Among Us across all platforms.
That means alongside the PlayStation 4 version, fighter fans can grab the game on Xbox One and PC.
Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm has made it possible to grab their classic title, which launched back in 2013.
Additionally, gamers who own a PS Plus subscription can also enjoy the likes of Call of Duty WWII and Star Wars Battlefront 2.
This deal is a great catch for anyone who never played Injustice the first time around but it comes with one big limitation.
Even though you can download the game and keep it forever, the deal is only in place for a short length of time.
Gamers interested in grabbing Injustice can download it for free until Thursday, June 25.
The best part of the deal is that WB Games is offering The Ultimate Edition, meaning you get all the extra DLC thrown in.
Injustice: Ultimate Edition is available to PS4 console owners via the PlayStation Store and will require an internet connection.
“Be a hero while playing with friends and family. Injustice: Gods Among Us is available for free now on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC until June 25!” a message from WB Games explains.
No end time has been confirmed for when Injustice will stop being free and return to its normal pricing.
For anyone who hasn’t heard of Injustice, it features a DC universe where Superman has murdered The Joker and is looking to dominate Earth and its heroes.
The official game description provides more, adding: “What if our greatest heroes became our greatest threat?
“Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition features DC Comics icons such as Batman, Cyborg, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Solomon Grundy, Superman and Wonder Woman, in a dark tale of power and corruption.
“Heroes and villains engage in epic battles on a massive scale in a world where the line between good and evil has been blurred.
“Remastered for next-gen technology, the PS4 system version features touchpad functionality, video sharing and streaming so you can witness the destruction as your friends knock lumps out of each other using the world’s mightiest warriors.”
It should also be noted that another game can be tested for free on the PSN over the coming weekends.
Gundam Extreme VS Maxiboost ON will be hosting open betas every Saturday until the full game launches, which is scheduled for July 30.
The open beta started this weekend and five more days of beta is currently planned, although these will be happening each Saturday.
The Gundam open beta remains available until June 22, with Bandai Namco explaining in a new statement:
“Join the Open Beta to get exclusive early access to the game. Beginning Saturday, 20th of June, 5AM CEST, and running for 24 hours, join us every weekend up until release day! For the first session, the Open Access will be held all weekend long, before continuing solely on Saturdays.
“MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS. MAXIBOOST ON” is a true port of the arcade version that started operation in 2016 in Japan, full of face-paced co-op battles, fierce PVP fighting, iconic Mobile Suits and three different fighting styles: FIGHTING BURST, EXTEND BURST and SHOOTING BURST!
“Try out for the first time ever the two newest additions to the rooster, on top of the 183 suits available in arcade version.”
