Queen forced to ‘contain’ Meghan to keep Duchess from going ‘nuclear’, expert claims

The Queen last week issued a statement confirming Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had agreed to renounce using their Sussex Royal brand once they step back from official royal duty at the end of March. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex followed with a personal statement in which they pointed out Her Majesty has “no jurisdiction” over the use of the word royal outside of the UK. TV celebrity Lizzie Cundy, a one-time friend of Meghan, suggested the Queen’s statement signalled the monarch was forced to “contain” the Duchess of Sussex from using her new-found independent status to make business.

The source continued: “She has already done the voiceover for Disney and now word is out that she’s looking for a superhero film, as a voiceover or even on screen.

“She knows she can’t carry a film as an actress.

“People won’t be able to get past the fact she’s Meghan Markle.

“But she’s determined to act again and she thinks a big, ensemble film is the way to go… something that pays big but which doesn’t put her front and centre.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been living in Canada with their son Archie since they unveiled their plans to quit the Royal Family.

The couple is expected to head back to the Commonwealth country after their farewell tour to the UK in March but sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have suggested they are also planning to buy another home in Meghan’s native Los Angeles.
