Queen guitarist Brian May continues to entertain fans in quarantine with his micro-concerts. And the latest saw the 72-year-old play his iconic Killer Queen guitar solo. However, he made an error near the end of his new Instagram video.
May said: “Mistakes are what it’s all about y’know. Ah! I should know.”
The Queen legend also wrote up some advice Frank Zappa once gave him next to the video.
He wrote: “Killer Queen solo, anyone ?!! A slight variant ?
“Frank Zappa once told me ‘here is no such thing as a mistake – if it’s your performance of your own stuff, who can tell you it’s wrong ?!!’”
Meanwhile, Queen drummer Roger Taylor has also been playing for fans, giving mini drum concerts.
The 72-year-old even paid tribute to late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham.
Taylor opened one video with a cover of Immigrant Song.
He said: “That was a very old, John Bonham type thing.”
Taylor added: “Such a great drummer. He really knew how to do it.”
Queen and Adam Lambert have been playing some Led Zeppelin during their latest tour.
At at least a couple of concerts they performed Whole Lotta Love.
While also having played Elvis Presley’s Heartbreak Hotel too.
