Rare post-war Bentley in 'impeccable condition' available for over £850,000

The historic Bentley R Type Continental Fastback is said to be in “impeccable condition” despite being over 65 years old. The model was still in a “first-rate condition” and is said to “drive as well as it looks”.

“The car is in first-rate condition throughout finished in lovely Maroon paintwork to the exterior and unmarked tan leather to the interior.

“This car drives absolutely as well as it looks and is in simply lovely order throughout.

“In addition to this car, we also have an unrestored example in green and a brand new freshly restored example in Black in mint condition.”

The model available for sale is a coachbuilt version from H.J Mulliner.

The model has often been regarded as a stop-gap before the introduction of Bentley’s S Series in 1955.

It is believed Bentley R Type models have a top speed of around 101.7mpg and can reach 0-60mph in just over 13 seconds.

Fuel consumption of around 15.5miles per one imperial gallon of fuel when the car was first launched.
