The original Star Wars film is filled with hilarious moments from Anthony Daniels’ C-3PO. But did you ever wonder why the droid says “the damage doesn’t look so bad” on the escape pod in A New Hope? Well, one theorist reckons they’ve worked it out and fans love it.

“Seems like kind of a weird line for the filmmakers to emphasise.
“My theory: though the special effects were groundbreaking and still look good over 40 years later, Lucas wasn’t completely satisfied with them.
“He thought Leia’s ship should have looked like it had taken more damage.”
Aside from Disney+ TV shows like The Mandalorian, new spin-off films are in the works at Lucasfilm./Users/ghsimpo/Desktop/01.jpg
They includes one co-written and directed by Taika Waititi announced on Star Wars Day this year.
Meanwhile, The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson is planning a new Star Wars trilogy.
And Marvel boss Kevin Feige is producing a film in the franchise, helmed by a major actor.
So far there have only been two Star Wars spin-offs in Rogue One and Solo.
The latter was setting up a sequel but bombed at the box office, so don’t expect a follow-up anytime soon.
However, the story could easily continue in the form of a Disney+ movie or TV series.
The next Star Wars movie is slated for December 16, 2022, whatever that happens to be.
