Strictly Come Dancing 2021 came to an end yesterday with EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis and her dance partner Giovanni Pernice lifting the Glitterball Trophy. The dance duo beat TV chef John Whaite and his professional partner Johannes Radebe to win the series. However, some viewers have claimed Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse didn’t look too pleased with the result of the public vote.
Rose and Giovanni were crowned champions after performing three dances on the live show and winning the hearts of viewers at home.
Judge Motsi gave the dance duo high praise throughout the evening, but some viewers have suggested she looked “fuming” when they won the series.
After seeing her reaction to the result of the BBC dance show, some viewers took to Twitter to comment.
@JohnW102 wrote: “#Strictly congratulations to Rose and Giovanni. Motsi’s face as the result was announced priceless, not a happy bunny.”
“Motsi looked absolutely fuming with the result there! #Strictly2021 #Strictly,” @Charlie017463 said.
“Motsi wasn’t happy with the result, was she?! #Strictly,” @nikkiloumaz remarked.
“Motsi could barely hide her disappointment at the result. #Strictly,” @RoomMrs added.
@JulieMaven1 commented: “@bbcstrictly I’m surely not the only viewer who noticed Motsi’s disappointment at the result. The public voted for the winners and the right couple won! Suck it up @MOTSI_MABUSE.”
Motsi’s fans leapt to her support, urging her not to listen to the negative comments online.
“@MOTSI_MABUSE, please don’t worry about this. The real people know you are incredibly happy with the result and would have been equally happy if John and Johannes won. Yet another amazing series. Can’t wait to hopefully see you on the panel for another year in 2022,” @PreserveTheKing said.
Earlier in the evening, Motsi had congratulated Rose and Giovanni for their had work and stunning performances.
After the couple impressed viewers with a new Romeo and Juliet inspired show dance routine, the Strictly judge showered them with praise.
