So far, three celebrities have been knocked out and comedian Robert Webb had to step down due to ill health. Last week Greg Wise was voted out alongside his professional partner Karen Hauer after a cringe-worthy Samba. His poor performance was a surprise to some after performing an excellent couple’s choice dance two weeks before which head judge Shirley Ballas described as “joyous, moving” and “outstanding”.
First to leave the Strictly dancefloor was EastEnders actress Nina Wadia and Neil Jones. She had previously joked: “I’ve always danced like nobody’s watching, so if we blindfold the judges I could actually win Strictly 2021.”
Nina originally wowed the judges in week one with a Beyonce inspired samba, but provoked harsh criticism from Craig after a Tango in week two.
Craig said: “The footwork was extremely ropey. I don’t think this was your dance, my love.”
In week three, the British public said goodbye to Coronation Street and Hollyoaks actress Katie McGlynn.
Sadly, her American Smooth as Cruella De Vil did not impress the judges but a lot of Strictly fans did not agree with the elimination result.
One viewer said on social media: “I think Katie has been treated quite harshly by the judges since the start. Her ballroom is really not bad, and she showed a lot of potential.”
Still in the running for the ballroom trophy are 10 couples.
In the last showdown, on October 16, Sara Davies and Aljaž Škorjanec achieved the highest score of 36 with their Tango.
The judges were over the moon with Sara’s performance.
Anton said it was “almost perfect” while Shirley beaned with praise as she thought the dance was “off the chart”.

Adam Peaty took to the stage with the first Argentine Tango of the series which Craig described as “brilliant”.
At the bottom of the leader board sits Loose Women presenter Judi Love and Graziano Di Prima with a score of 24.
Although the judges felt her dance was emotional and touching, it lacked the technique to achieve a higher mark.
Judi has been in the dance off twice now and fans fear this weekend will be her final show.
