Swindon shooting: Police and air ambulance rush to scene after ‘shooting involving lorry’

Police have closed off a road in Shaw, Swindon after reports of a shooting, which involved a lorry.The air ambulance reportedly went to Southmead Hospital. Nearby resident Rachel Windsor, 46, said to the Swindon Advertiser: “It’s quite a nice estate so we don’t ever see police officers round here.
“I was just about to walk to Aldi when I heard this massive shot.
“I thought a bus had punctured its wheel.”
One witness told the Swindon Advertiser he heard police demand someone to “put the gun down”.
Corey Battocchio said: He was shouted at many times by police to ‘put the gun down’ and therefore was shot. He was airlifted and taken to a nearby hospital.”
Michael Rozwadoski, 42, said: “I saw the helicopter and we were a little bit afraid, my daughter was terrified.”
Another neighbour said that they heard they shot, which appeared to be a single shot.
