Jenny, 38, was revealed to be the general knowledge guru The Chase host Bradley Walsh, 60, and the four players would have to defeat to win the cash jackpot. As viewers of the ITV quiz show know, The Vixen star is just one of five Chasers who are always on standby to try and stop the contestants winning any money. However, taking her seat on Tuesday’s episode, she seemed to channel co-star Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace’s, 60, comedic nature as she made a quip about radio presenter, Sarah.
During her cash-builder round, the contestant managed to secure £3,000, matching the efforts of her teammate Adam.
Bradley then ushered Sarah to the bottom of the game table, with Jenny joining them after waiting backstage for her cue.
After her entrance, The Vixen star referenced the comments the player had made in her introduction with the host.
“No watch for your husband but very soon, you’ll have some time on your hands,” she quipped, before explaining her co-star helped her with the light-hearted jibe.
Taking over Shaun’s role as a comic, Jenny said: “He told me that joke,” but the presenter was less than amused.
Luckily, her jokes didn’t manage to knock Sarah’s concentration as the contestant made it back for the Final Chase with her winnings.
It seemed some viewers were missing Shaun’s presence on the show, as one wrote on Twitter: “@TheShaunWallace Seems ages since you were last on #TheChase Missing you.”
Following Sarah’s performance, it was then time for Will to try and join his two fellow teammates in the Final Chase.
After securing £6,000 during his cash-builder round, it was time for him to face Jenny and she continued to share some of Shaun’s words of wisdom.
Posed with one final set of questions, the trio managed to secure 20 points that Jenny would have to try and beat to win the jackpot.
After several successful knock backs, it seemed the players might have just managed to win the £12,000 prize.
Unfortunately, with just eight seconds to spare, The Vixen destroyed their efforts and the three quizzing amateurs left empty-handed.
The Chaser did commend them all for bringing their A-game but she told Bradley the last question about A Stitch in Time could not have been better for her.
Taking to social media, those viewers watching the scenes unfold at home commented on the result of the episode.
One fan wrote: “How on earth did the Chaser know that trombones is a score of 76 points in a throw? I had to Google it #TheChase.”
Another viewer added: “Argh! I can’t believe that just happened! #thechase after all of Will’s hard work!”
Whilst a third remarked: “Damn! Another day, another Chaser win. At least Will goes away with his head held high. #TheChase.”
