Tobias Ellwood, Conservative MP, joined Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain today to discuss the widespread confusion over the Prime Minister’s new lockdown guidelines which were published yesterday. Following a heated conversation with Piers Morgan in which the presenter asked whether or not Boris Johnson was fit enough to lead this country out of the crisis, Ellwood turned the interrogation around and attacked Morgan’s own interview style, but as he went to counter-argue, his live video link suddenly cut out.
Morgan dove straight in today and asked Mr Ellwood if he thought Matt Hancock should indeed be on GMB today explaining to viewers what is happening.
Ellwood said: “Well I don’t really know what reason he isn’t able to make it today-”
He was instantly cut off by Morgan who said the boycotting had been going on for ten days now.
However, it was later in the show when things got heated, Ellwood was discussing Mr Johnson’s speech and said: “He doesn’t look 100%, which is not surprising he was in ICU weeks ago, all a bit too much for him.”
The MP hit out at Morgan’s interview style and when Morgan challenged him, his live video link cut off.
Morgan uttered: “We’ve lost him, he’s be vaporised he’s gone.”
