Trisha Goddard opens up on ‘vile abuse’ after Bo Selecta leaving GMB hosts gobsmacked

The global conversation about racism has been sparked due to the deaths of members of the black community at the hands of police in the US, most notably the death of George Floyd, an unarmed 46-year-old man who died after being apprehended by a white police officer.

Over the past few weeks, many media figures have been issuing apologies for the use of blackface in past sketches, including the likes of Ant McPartlin, 44, and Dec Donnelly, 44.

Little Britain stars David Walliams, 48, and Matt Lucas, 46, have also come out to apologise for their actions after the BBC sitcom was removed from streaming platforms.

Both of these came after Celebrity Juice host Leigh expressed his sorrow over any offence he caused to Trisha by impersonating her some years ago.

As a result, the former chat show host has still been subject to “abuse” online and shocked her interviewers by explaining the backlash.
