Trump says US praying for ‘good friend’ Boris fighting coronavirus – ‘He doesn’t give up!’

The US President described the Prime Minister as a “very good friend of mine” and “a friend to our nation”, adding: “Americans are all praying for his recovery.” Mr Johnson, 55, who was admitted to St Thomas’ hospital in London on Sunday due to suffering symptoms for 10 days, has been moved to intensive care after his condition worsened.
A Number 10 spokesman said: “Since Sunday evening, the Prime Minister has been under the care of doctors at St Thomas’ Hospital, in London, after being admitted with persistent symptoms of coronavirus.
“Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the Prime Minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the intensive care unit at the hospital.
“I’d like to say thank you to all the brilliant NHS staff taking care of me and others in this difficult time. You are the best of Britain.
“Stay safe everyone, and please remember to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives.”
