UK Broadband outage disaster: New stats reveal just how bad your internet really is

The data from the independent survey from National Broadband, which surveyed 2,000 adults from across the UK, showed that almost one in five (17 percent) felt increasingly disconnected from family and friends due to technical issues since lockdown.

Top issues people have faced during lockdown due to poor internet or the 33 percent that suffered outages, according to the survey:

• Favourite TV show/movie missed or interrupted (9%)

• Missed or interrupted video calls with friends (9%)

• Missed out on securing a food delivery slot (6%)

• Interrupted on a virtual business meeting (5%)

• Missed a virtual fitness class (4%)

• Missed or interrupted virtual family party (4%)

• Missed out on speaking to a sick/poorly loved one (4%)

• interruptions during a virtual job interview (4%)

• Missed out on a planned virtual date (3%)

• Couldn’t attend on a virtual funeral (3%)
