UK hot weather map: 30C highs to return after torrential rain soaks Britain
The forecasters have also said temperatures could reach 30C as the jet stream moves towards the south of the UK.
Temperature maps from Netweather show the mercury lingering around the high teens and low 20Cs for much of this week, before a drastic change sets in from this weekend.
On Sunday, July 12, highs of 24C will be felt across the south of England, warming up elsewhere too.
On Monday, this heat will be felt more widely, with the North West feeling 24C, Scotland 21C and the south of England 24C.
