Experts said the reproduction rate of coronavirus is between 0.7 and 0.9 across the UK, and between 0.8 and 1 across England. But it is slightly higher in seven UK regions. In the southwest of England, SAGE put it between 0.8 and 1.1.
London, the Midlands, the North West and the South East are at 0.8 – 1.
The North East and Yorkshire is at 0.7 – 1.
The R is the number of people that one infected person will pass the virus on to, on average.
