What are we doing!? Nick Ferrari furious at state of Britain after Chris Whitty trolling

The British broadcaster bemoaned the state of Britain as he hit out at the person filming Prof Whitty as he queued to buy lunch. Footage of the exchanged emerged on social media, showing the Chief Medical Officer trying to keep his distance from the person filming him as he was being accused of being “a liar.” The person confronting Prof Whitty could be heard saying: “Oi big man, what you saying? You’re a liar, you’re a liar.

“You lie about the Covid-19 cases, man. Come on man, stop lying to the TV, man.”

Nick Ferrari reacted furiously at the trolling, going as far as suggesting the person abusing Prof Whitty should have his face plastered on every billboard in the UK.

He said: “This is a bloke who’s given up his spare time to give out the vaccination. He’s slaved away for 10 months.

“The reason many of us are sitting here now, and our relatives are alive, is because of the work this man has done.

“He’s abusive, he’s not confused. It’s a very dangerous lie that this Covid thing is devised by Governments, the CIA or whatever.

“We need people to be getting their vaccinations and people who perpetuate that are putting people’s lives at risk.”

It is unclear when the video was taken, but Prof Whitty did not respond to the taunts, appearing to be waiting for food from a nearby market stall.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast, Mr Hancock said: “I think the individual concerned is pathetic, I think it is ridiculous what he is doing.

Broadcaster Piers Morgan also defended Prof Whitty for his work in helping the UK combat the pandemic.

Mr Morgan said: “Professor Whitty is our Chief Medical Officer and is probably doing 18 to 20 hour days seven days a week to try and save our lives.

The very least he deserves is our respect and yet he got that in the street from somebody clearly whipped up to believe Covid does not exist and is all lies.

“That video should disgust all of us in the same way that the trolling of Captain Tom and Marcus Rashford should disgust us.

“Where is our decency? That is a disgusting piece of footage.”

He added: “It is a pathetic indictment of where this country is going in terms of that nonsense on social media.”
