WOLVES 0-0 ARSENAL

24: Well that’s not a sight you want to see. Shkodran Mustafi just had to request that Arsenal’s front three start making runs in behind the Wolves defence.

21: The long throw-in is back with a vengeance. I’ve seen the Rory Delap-esque throw multiple times since the re-start and Matt Doherty causes a problem with his. David Luiz fails to judge the flight and bounce of the ball and it loops over his head to Raul Jimenez.

The Mexico star doesn’t connect and Kieran Tierney does well to block Adama Traore’s cut-back.

18: Wolves are dictating things. They are pressing well at a unit and that’s forced their opponents into one or two mistakes. Shkodran Mustafi sending one straight out of play demonstrates my point almost immediately. Thanks, Shkodran…

15: Arsenal having a few problems connecting with the front three. They are being allowed to keep the ball in the middle with Dani Ceballos and Granit Xhaka seeing a lot of the ball – but the attacking trio are struggling to get involved.

13: Wild from Adama Traore. The attacker collects the ball just inside the Arsenal half, runs 35-yards untroubled before thwacking it into orbit.

10: It’s difficult to know exactly where Arsenal are at the moment. They responded well to those successive defeats to Manchester City and Brighton – but were gifted goals by goalkeepers in their following three victories. Like I said before, today will be a good barometer to see their progress under Mikel Arteta.

8: Should be interesting to see how Cedric Soares gets on today. He scored that deflected effort within four minutes of his debut against Norwich, but today will be a very different proposition. He drills a decent cross from the right but there’s enough orange/gold shirts in there to clear.

5: Sead Kolasinac is the left-sided centre-back with Kieran Tierney operating as a wing-back. The pair of them should have their hands full dealing with Adama Traore this evening. Arsenal, aside from that early chance, have started well and kept possession in the midfield areas.

2: Oh, I should mention that Nicolas Pepe isn’t in the squad tonight. And that’s because his partner has gone into labour. We obviously wish them the best of luck. I’m sure he’ll be reading this blog throughout…

Wolves have a chance straight from the kick-off. The electric and all-round blockbuster winger Adama Traore races through to meet Raul Jimenez’s through ball but Emiliano Martinez is quickly off his line to block.

1: Hello, good evening and welcome. It’s time for us to have a lovely time…

Sorry this fixture hasn’t had the build-up it deserved. It’s clearly the game of the weekend in my opinion. I was busy covering Manchester United’s 5-2 win over Bournemouth. Quite a spectacle I must admit.

Anyway, here we have two in-form sides battling it out and tonight should give us a barometer of where exactly each team stands.
